Catch and shoot off a curl cut

O1 passes to coach and then makes a curl cut off the high post (chair or cone) to receive a return pass and shoot. Player should rebound their own shot and dribble back out to start drill again.

Emphasis on:
- preparation (early and in a low stance)
- shoulder to shoulder cut off screen
- quick release on shot
- shots from both sides of the floor

Variation: add a dribble on the catch (catch and go).

Catch and shoot off a straight cut

O1 passes to coach and then makes a straight cut off the high post (chair or cone) to receive a return pass and shoot. Player should rebound their own shot and dribble back out to start drill again.

Emphasis on:
- preparation (early and in a low stance)
- shoulder to shoulder cut off screen
- quick release on shot
- shots from both sides of the floor

Variation: add a dribble on the catch (catch and go).

Catch and shoot off a skip pass (flare cut).

O1 passes to coach who throws a strong skip pass to O1 who flare cuts to the baseline and catches and shoots. Player should rebound their own shot and dribble back out to start drill again.

Emphasis on:
- preparation (early and in a low stance)
- low on the change of direction (flare)
- catch the ball low
- quick release on shot
- shots from both sides of the floor

Variation: add a dribble on the catch (catch and go).

Catch and shoot off a pass (flare cut).

O1 passes to coach and then steps out to the short corner or long corner (post men step to the short corner while guards may step to the 3pt line). O1 should rebound their own shot and start drill again.

Emphasis on:
- preparation (early and in a low stance)
- low on the change of direction (flare)
- catch the ball low
- quick release on shot
- shots from both sides of the floor

Variation: add a dribble on the catch (catch and go).
